Postal Workers haven’t seen
much of a wage increase in years. They strike even though public
sector workers do not have the right to strike! The two week strike
produces a significant increase in salary and leads to a Royal Commission
to look into working conditions. Delegates to the Union’s National
Convention change the name of their organization from the Canadian Postal
Employees Association (CPEA) to the Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW).
